Coming to the University of Florida has been the best decision of my life. I verbally committed to UF when I was just 14 years old, and I haven’t regretted it a day since. I just finished my first semester as a student-athlete and I have already learned so much and feel that I am growing as a person. College is such a unique experience that, if you have the opportunity, I think everyone should have. For me, Florida was the perfect fit because of the great academics (UF was just ranked as the #9 best public university), and the outstanding athletic program. I feel like I am getting the most out of my college by studying at a university with such well-rounded success.
Some of the most important things I have learned so far are how to manage a very busy schedule, how to create a balanced life, and how to avoid unnecessary stress. As far as managing my schedule I have to be efficient with my time. To be sure that I am almost always doing something to help make myself better, I write down everything that I have to do and then I will number my tasks most to least important.
